Infolock’s Annual Charity Golf Tournament Raises Over $20,000 for Pediatric Brain Cancer Research

Infolock, the leading data risk management advisory, consulting, and managed services firm, is pleased to announce the success of its annual charity golf tournament, held on September 17, 2024, at the Laurel Hill Golf Club in Lorton, Virginia. This year, Infolock proudly partnered with The Jimmy Fund to support the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute’s critical mission of advancing pediatric brain cancer research. Through the generosity of attendees and sponsors, the tournament raised over $20,000, which will directly fund life-saving research and compassionate care for children battling brain cancer.

The Jimmy Fund, established in 1948, exclusively supports Boston’s Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, enabling groundbreaking cancer research and compassionate patient care for both children and adults. This year’s beneficiary held particular significance for Infolock team member Jill Speisman, Operations Manager at Infolock, who nominated the charity.

Speisman’s friends have been on a journey with their two-year-old son, who was diagnosed with Medulloblastoma, a common form of malignant brain tumor in children. Starting in November 2023, this little warrior was treated at Boston’s Children’s Hospital and completed his 6th round of chemo in June 2024. Since finishing treatment, he became a big brother in June, celebrated his 3rd birthday in August, and started preschool in September.

“This cause is incredibly close to my heart,” said Speisman. “Watching my friends’ young son show such resilience and strength has been both heart-wrenching and inspiring. I am grateful to Infolock and everyone who supported this event, knowing these funds will contribute directly to research and care that gives families hope.”
